Winter in Ukraine 2026: constant power cuts, no hot water, and heating in homes and public buildings works only intermittently. Concrete apartment blocks are freezing cold, streets are dark, and air-raid alarms keep sounding again and again.

We all know why the electricity and central heating aren’t working. It’s Russia’s way of brutally and cynically “negotiating” about “peace.”

This is a humanitarian crisis. In Finland, we cannot stand by. We must act – and we must act now.

Call to action — together with the Embassy of Ukraine

Caravan to Ukraine runs the Power to Ukraine campaign from 28 Jan to 24 Feb 2026 together with the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland. At the Embassy’s request, we focus support especially on the Sumy region in the east and on the capital Kyiv, where the situation is acute and severe.

How to help: individuals

We appeal to everyone in Finland: help us send Power to Ukraine.

With donated funds we will purchase, for example:

• small power banks and charging solutions
• portable generators
• gas heaters and other heating solutions
• larger diesel power plants that ensure the distribution of electricity and heat in high-rise buildings

This allows us to support families as well as critical functions in society: hospitals, schools and emergency centres — helping keep essential services running.

You can donate funds that enable us to procure and deliver larger backup power solutions. We also accept backup power equipment donated by companies, such as used diesel generators and reserve power systems.
